He is responsible for corporate communications and marketing across ACE European Group, including the UK, Continental Europe and the MENA region. Miles develops and implements regional marketing programmes aimed at supporting key business objectives throughout the region. He also provides communications counsel to the European senior management team.

Miles started life in Government, before working as a public affairs lobbyist and issues management specialist for the WPP agency, Burson Marsteller. Miles subsequently broadened his communications portfolio, becoming Head of Corporate Affairs for the insurer, Direct Line.
